Highlights of 2012 Festival include the French Academy Award Entry “Declaration Of War” which outlines the true story of parents who’s newborn son is diagnosed with cancer (acted by the actual parents) and “The Look”, a biographical study of screen veteran Charlotte Rampling.

‘Project 12: A Time To Remember’ was released in the early hours of January 1 2012. An ambitious project helmed by The Solid State and commissioned by Tourism Australia, the short-film based around New Years Eve in Sydney was cut through the night and morning of Dec 31/Jan 01.

The film featured the stories of 5 people from around the world who had travelled to celebrate New Years in Sydney. It also incorporated user generated footage filmed by revellers on their smartphones and uploaded throughout the evening using an app. This footage was then cut into the film and seen in the final product the following morning.

Since it’s release, the film has received over 450,000 views helping bump Tourism Australia’s Facebook fans past the two million mark.

Having been with ‘The Tall Man’ since post-production, we’re proud to continue our work on the film as it gears up for its national distribution on the 17th November. Check out the trailer and poster created by The Solid State.

Held annually in LA, the prestigious Golden Trailer Awards recognises the world’s best feature film trailers and film marketing materials. Judged by film industry notables, we’re proud to have our work recognised on the same stage as studio titles like Megamind from Dreamworks and Limitless from Relativity.

Congratulations to Julia Leigh and the team at Transmission Films. We helped launch the trailer on Thursday night (14.04.11) with the news that SLEEPING BEAUTY had been accepted In Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2011.
Sleeping Beauty is the directorial debut from award-winning novelist Julia Leigh (The Hunter). Harnessing the keen mind of Jane Campion as a mentor (The Piano, In The Cut and Sweetie) and working with a blacklisted script, Julia’s debut is a highly anticipated feature. Sleeping Beauty is a haunting erotic fairytale about Lucy (Emily Browning), a young University student drawn into a mysterious hidden world of beauty and desire.

We’ve just completed the theatrical and online trailer campaign for Beck Cole’s debut feature HERE I AM. Hugely anticipated at the Adelaide Film Festival following the success of her ABC Doco for Samson & Delilah, it opens nationally on June 2nd.
